Network Controller (Lead) - Scott AFB, IL

Job Description Set up, configure, and support internal and/or external networks. Develop and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provide technical support and guidance to users. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.

- Troubleshoot circuits using router commands, loops, alarms and errors, and other troubleshooting technologies and techniques.

- Troubleshoot networking technologies on a live, global network.

- Utilize network monitoring tools to monitor, track and resolve issues. Escalate issues, when necessary.

- Create and update tickets utilizing Remedy.
Required Skills Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of related experience. Possess DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent). Senior-level experience in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, ATM, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, and/or Optical Switching. Senior-level experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, and/or performance management. Ability to work in a 24/7 operation. Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to travel as necessary. This position supports a U.S. Government contract whose terms require that applicants possess U.S. Citizenship.
