Job Description Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
Solicits and evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks.
Works under general supervision.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Required Skills Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years as a Purchasing Agent in a fast paced and regulated environment. Must have experience in a FAR/DFARS environment under a CPSR approved system. Must have the ability to read and understand technical documentation including Drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), Blue Prints, Schematics, Technical Data Sheets, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including WORD, Excel, and OUTLOOK.
