Job Description Our Serco C5ISR team is working with the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) to design and install mission critical Audio/Video (AV) and Information Technology (IT) systems in the build-out of a Command & Control Facility (C2F) for the U.S. military at Offutt AFB, NE. Serco’s work supports the maintenance and enhancement of mission operations and communications systems used by U.S. military personnel for various strategic missions.

- The Shore Installation ISP 3 Engineer oversees all work executed with respect to cabling systems, communications equipment and infrastructure, Audio Visual equipment and C4ISR system installations in a new Command and Control (C2) Facility.

- Conducts root cause analysis and recommend remediation for any technical challenges encountered as a part of the task order, including but not limited to: fiber and copper cable installation and routing, network fiber (OM4 and single mode) and copper (shielded Cat6A) termination, installation of equipment racks and equipment, as well as certification testing and fault isolation for all cabling types.

- May involve work outside of normal duty hours.

Should Serco be awarded the contract, and you meet the qualifications of the position, you will be considered in the selection process.**
Required Skills Required (Minimum) Qualifications: - Minimum active SECRET clearance; preference given to candidates holding Top Secret w/ SSBI - Must have current BICSI Technician certification - Three (3) years’ experience preparing, conducting and performing System Operational Verification Tests (SOVTs) for information technology systems to include Audio Video systems - Six (6) years’ experience as an engineer on an IT/Communication system installation project with a budget in excess of $100,000 that includes system designed and installed to support classified data transmission and processing - A demonstrated knowledge/experience with AutoCAD - Three (3) years’ experience working with testing and measuring equipment to include testing both copper and fiber cables using Fluke Versiv devices - Experience certifying permanent link infrastructure through testing and documentation - Experience in overseeing the installation and dressing of cables and cords - Six (6) years’ experience as developing shore Installation Design Plans (IDPs) for ISP work in accordance with the SPAWAR Shore Installation Process Handbook including at least two (2) years of experience preparing IDPs for installing equipment used to process classified information - Three (3) years of experience developing detailed cost estimates for installation projects involving new inside plant cabling infrastructure and new equipment installations - BS degree in electrical/electronic engineering or telecommunications engineering Preferred Qualifications: Desire one or more of the following: - Current BICSI RCDD Certification - Current BICSI Installer 2, Copper Certification - Current BICSI Installer 2, Optical Fiber Certification Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Knowledge of Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH) process and deliverable requirements - Knowledge of SIPH major shore installation guidance documents pertaining to SPAWAR shore installations - Meet or exceed specified safety standards / requirements - Knowledge of principles behind electrical power circuit design and electrical safety - Knowledge of principles behind the design of Internet Protocol (IP) networks - Accurately estimate the type, quantity, and cost of resources required to implement shore installation designs - Accurately estimate the time required to complete both installation designs and installation implementations - Understand the proper application, operation, and use of the test and measuring equipment. Other Qualifications: - This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens   Secret #clearance

DepartmentSerco’s C5ISR business unit supports all branches of the U.S. military as they look to extend the life of critical legacy weapons systems and sensors, while seamlessly integrating these systems with the latest C5I environments. We support major transformation initiatives to deliver total situational awareness from the command center to the warfighter on the front line. We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems.
