Project/Program Manager- MDOT ITS Maintenance NC52605547

Job Description Program Manager will be responsible for managing multiple contracts with revenue typically ranging from $3 -$15 Millions. Specifically,

• Responsible for in preparing correspondence, reports, policy and procedure recommendations,
schedules, forms, presentations, training material, personnel management, documentation, and electronic communications
• Responsible for the development and upkeep of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) maintenance operations manuals and standard operating procedures/guidelines
• Implementation of Serco’s performance management process delivering required actions and initiatives as required
• Monitors project and staff to ensure that projects are progressing according to established procedures and cost, timeline and outlined quality objectives
• Accountable for the management and oversight of Operational Risks and delivery of mitigations
• Delivers best-practice initiatives across the state and developing measurable action plans
• Accountable for the maintenance (responsive and preventive) and operational performance status of ITS systems, networks, sub networks, and ITS end devices such as CCTVs, Dynamic Message Signs, gate control systems, Highway Advisory Radio, speed detection devices, road weather information systems
• Responsible for subcontractor management including performance, scheduling, invoicing, etc.
• Responsible for inventory management (warehouse) for the ITS Maintenance project
• Provides engineering analyses, develop concept of operations, conduct feasibility studies and provide expert opinions on ITS issues
• Maintains and develops relationships across the customers organization
• Identifies and assesses new and existing technology with the goal of enhancing performance or delivering cost efficiencies
• Coordinate training for the development of programs and training to enhance personnel job skills
• Participate in meetings, seminars, conferences, and committees as appropriate and assigned
• Is able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in the English language
Required Skills • A Bachelor’s degree (substitutable with applicable 10 years of experience) - in Engineering, Maths or Physics preferred. • Minimum 7 years of experience in management and of transportation projects. • Recent knowledge of organizational processes, risk management, quality processes and quality management, schedule and cost control, basic contracting law. • A proficient Manager with excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities. Desired: • Professional Engineer License in Michigan or other state with the ability to register in Michigan • Strong Leadership skill and role model requirement. • Relationship management and work winning skills with clients. • Profit and loss sensitivity is desired **Serco Inc. is using this posting for the purpose responding to a proposal.
