Compensation Analyst - Herndon, VA

Job Description The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for administering the company’s Compensation programs and related HR programs - including Performance Management, and awards programs. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Evaluates and analyzes salary data as a result of promotions, counteroffers, pay equity reviews, and contract specific award programs
-Creates market composites using Compensation database; writes/modifies job descriptions; determines pay grades; determines appropriate geographical differentials/compensation plans; and conducts job evaluations to determine appropriate exemption and/or job title
-Collaborates with the Business Development/Pricing teams to map Labor Categories to company jobs for Proposals (new and existing business)
-Provides guidance and makes recommendations to managers on all compensation issues
-Coordinates with internal staff to efficiently communicate and administer the Compensation program
-Participates in Compensation salary surveys; serves as point of contact for maintaining vender relationships with survey providers, as well as the Compensation Database vendor
-Ensures compliance with all labor laws and regulations
Required Skills Required Education, Skills and Experience -Bachelor's degree and a minimum three years of relevant experience in Human Resources/Compensation (preferably with U.S. Government Contractors) -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) -Familiarity with mapping jobs for proposals; familiarity with Service Contract Act (SCA) jobs a plus -Solid analytical skills -High attention to detail -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Knowledge of Department of Labor laws and regulations -Sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals -Familiarity with a Compensation Database and HRIS systems is a plus -CCP preferred or in progress
