HR Analyst - Herndon, VA

Job Description Serco’s Compensation and Compliance team plays a critical role in delivering data-driven pay decisions in support of contract proposal efforts and internal employee pay reviews, while ensuring adherence to government laws and regulations. The HR Analyst will be responsible for providing market salary data analyses, running reports, compiling data for audits and conducting internal audit reviews of data within our Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Collaborating with the Business Development teams to map contract labor categories to company jobs for proposals (new and existing business), as well as conducting geographical market salary data analyses
-Creating market composites, drafting/modifying job descriptions, and determining pay grades using a compensation database
-Evaluating and analyzing salary data as a result of promotions, external and internal job offers, pay equity reviews, and contract specific award programs; conducting job evaluation interviews with employees to determine appropriate FLSA status and/or appropriate jobs
-Effectively translating analytical data into various formats for presentation, including PowerPoint, Word, and other software platforms
-Providing guidance and making recommendations to managers on all compensation issues
-Interpreting and gathering sensitive documentation in response to internal and external audit requests
-Drafting and maintaining HR policies and procedures; working with stakeholders to update existing policies during the policy review period
-Running various reports for company business leaders
-Working cross-functionally and fostering relationships primarily with the HR, IT, and Payroll departments
-Auditing, evaluating, analyzing, and maintaining the company’s HRIS
-May assist with running Compliance reporting, such as AAP, EEO, and VETS-4212 reports
-May assist in troubleshooting issues or errors in the HRIS
-Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills Required Education, Skills and Experience -Bachelor's degree and a minimum three years of relevant experience in Human Resources -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) -Prior experience working with an HRIS required -Solid analytical skills -High attention to detail -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Knowledge of Department of Labor laws and regulations -Sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals -Experience working in the government contracting environment a plus -Familiarity with mapping jobs for proposals and Service Contract Act (SCA) jobs a plus
