Job Description Reports directly to the Benefit Supervisor. May lead teams on various projects or tasks. Authorizes benefit payments. Handles the most complex or sensitive case processing or customer matters. Processes benefit applications, QDROS, POAS, etc. Processes and/or calculates participant over/underpayments and recoveries. Performs the intake processing and issuance of benefit determination letters. Supports the database building activities. May be required to travel for data collection trips. Conducts quality reviews to ensure work meets quality standards. Responsible for providing a variety of support activities, to include benefits administration, legal processing, financial processing or support of site services in accordance with established standards for production, quality and security. Researches, analyzes, evaluates, and administers corporate benefit plans/programs, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Monitors quality and production trends to support personal and team continuous improvement efforts. Has experience and knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures as it relates to applicable case work. Duties may also include addressing complex participant and beneficiary requests/requirements by either telephonic or written means. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, requiring a certain degree of creativity, judgment and latitude in their application. Works under general supervision and may report to a Function Lead or Task Lead.
Required Skills - Min Education: BA (4 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree) - Min Experience: 5 years relevant experience
