Job Description Fields calls and inquiries from the customer with concerns and questions. Facilitates resolution to routine problems. Maintains customer information in computer system. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
**Serco Inc. is using this posting for the purpose responding to a proposal. We are seeking qualified candidates in the event of a contract award. This position is not currently funded/active. Should Serco be awarded the contract, and you meet the qualifications of the position, you will be considered in the selection process.**
Required Skills (1) Education: High School Diploma or GED (2) General Experience: One (1) to Two (2) year(s) of relevant work experience which can include but not be limited to: employee benefit field, claims processing, billing, payroll, banking, human resources, customer service representative, etc. Candidates must have demonstrated the following skills: attention to detail, meeting deadlines, organizational and customer service skills, and an ability to interact in a team environment. A college degree (Associate or higher) may be substituted for 1 year of experience. (3) Function: Reports directly to the Benefit Supervisor. Performs routine benefit administration and case processing activities to include but not limited to: Initiates benefit payments and data loads for plan intake. Processes benefit applications. Enters data into PBGC systems of record. Conducts research for participant issues. Supports the payment recovery and benefit payment processing activities. Responds to customer inquiries and telephone calls. Performs the day-to processing of customer interactions. Issuance of benefit determination letters. Performs tasks associated with the document management activities to include plan and participant file maintenance (Scanning, indexing and document preparation). May support database building activities. May be required to travel for data collection trips.
