Job Description Researches, analyzes, evaluates, designs and administers corporate benefit plans/programs. Monitors benefit trends in the business environment. Must be knowledgeable of applicable benefits legislation. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May lead and direct the work of others. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
**Serco Inc. is using this posting for the purpose responding to a proposal. We are seeking qualified candidates in the event of a contract award. This position is not currently funded/active. Should Serco be awarded the contract, and you meet the qualifications of the position, you will be considered in the selection process.**
Required Skills (1) Education: A Bachelor’s Degree (2) General Experience: Five (5) years of progressive experience supervising staff or leading teams. Six (6) years of progressive supervisory experience may be substituted for a degree. (3) Function: Provides supervisory responsibility over multiple processing teams across a broad spectrum of benefit administration and document management activities. Assigns and reviews work of subordinate staff. Develops project plans for team assignments. Provides status updates on processing team activities. Resolves sensitive customer complaints and escalates matters to federal staff when needed. Authorizes benefit payments, oversees the plan intake processes and issuance of benefit determination letters, etc. Reports directly to the Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager. Provides technical guidance and assistance to staff members.
