Job Description Perform as the highest level technical expert, providing both internal and external consulting services. Work independently on advanced systems/software analysis projects. Develop and may conduct training programs. Remain current in operating systems/software analysis technological developments and applications. Recommend future direction or projects to management. Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software programs to enhance an operating system. Manage and maintain TRIRIGA software system and network configuration for Department of Justice. Run and manage periodic networks, system updates, system security, and troubleshoot system issues. Monitor system performance and maintain system according to requirements. System has several interfaces, which require review and maintenance. Contact appropriate individuals about system interfaces and issues. Ensure security through access controls and backups. Support and maintain TRIRIGA servers for Department of Justice. Develop BIRT reports using Eclipse 4.6 or higher. Read Reports built with JAVA scripts. Maintain 5 separate system environments, each of which runs on a cluster of 2 Linux and 1 Windows box.
Manage assigned software development tickets through Rational Ticketing System for TRIRIGA system development in an Agile environment. Work closely with Development team on solution development, and with larger team on TRIRIGA configuration.
Required Skills • 3+ years proven experience as Systems Administrator • Experience with databases, networks, system security, and data backup/recovery • Strong SQL development, Eclipse 4.6 • Strong Linux/Unix/AIX background • Ability to create scripts in PERL • Understand Windows IIS and Windows Server Administration • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude • Excellent communication skills with developers, Database Administrators, and system interface Points of Contact, other team members, and clients • Top Secret Clearance BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline • Experience writing JAVA code • Experience developing BIRT reports • Professional Certifications
