Job Description A part-time IT Trainer/Developer is needed to deliver instructor-led training to staff onsite in a Federal agency. Training will be conducted at the headquarters located in Washington, DC and at field offices.

The IT Trainer/Developer must be able to assist with curriculum development and the development and or revision of training materials. He/she must also be able to translate doctrine into user documentation including: user guides, participant manuals, instructor manuals, quick reference cards, job aids, and desk references, etc.

The IT Trainer/Developer must be familiar with instructional design concepts, practices, and procedures. He/she relies on experience and judgment to plan, accomplish goals, and improve processes. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to a manager.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least four years of work experience in the following areas:
1) computer systems instruction with a variety of instructional technologies to facilitate learning,
2) applying formal instructional design methodologies to curriculum development tasks; and
3) a high level of interpersonal and customer relations skills.

Preferred work experience in the following areas: 1) delivering virtual training using virtual platforms such as Adobe Connect and WebEx and
2) designing and/or developing training materials using MS Word Templates.

Other Skills Required: Technical Writing, Computer Systems and Software Training, IT Knowledge, virtual training/ delivery platforms (Adobe Connect, WebEx, Skype for Business), Intermediate or higher level Microsoft Office Suite 2010 and 2016 skills– specifically MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Instructional design methodology – ADDIE,

Preferred - Web Based Development (Adobe Captivate), Fundamentals of Access.

Work is generally performed in a normal office environment where there is minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Job assignments may require working at client site where working conditions may vary. Travel may be required.

Approximately - 30 to 40 hours a month.

This position will be an off-site/remote position with travel to client site when delivering training courses and as needed for project planning.
Required Skills Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience is required.
