Job Description Responsible for the Shipboard, Production Facility and Fabrication Shop supervision of all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with the Quality Management System and applicable regulatory requirements.
Develop, update and audit quality assurance workbooks and associated objective quality evidence.
Conduct site visits to perform documented surveillances on workmanship quality and compliance to personal and equipment safety requirements.
Develops internal audit plans, conducts internal audits, reviews/analyzes data and documentation, and completes audit reports.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to planned accomplish goals.
May lead and direct the work of others.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Required Skills Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the maritime industry. Strong desire to excel in the Quality Assurance field and ability to rapidly adapt to dynamic scenarios. Candidate must possess and provide documented C4ISR Installation, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control experience. Must be able to initiate corrective actions and implement solution. Excellent organizational and time management skills are required. Must be able to document experience and accept increasing levels of responsibility. Must have direct experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and training as a Lead Auditor is preferred. In depth knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items and QA requirements as delineated in TS 9090-310 is required. Structural fit-up, welding, pipefitting, and NDT Level II experience/qualification is a plus. Must possess outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to build rapport with internal and external customers. Candidate must be able to contribute to drafting Quality, Safety, and Environmental procedures, perform root cause analysis, conduct technical research, and respond to internal and external Corrective Action Requests (CARs). Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) required. Candidates must be able to physically access all areas on board U.S. Naval Vessels to include tanks, voids, and working aloft in support of production operations. Candidate must be able/willing to travel in CONUS/OCONUS. Candidates must have experience supporting U.S. Navy Systems Commands Candidate must be willing and available to work 1st and 2nd shift assignments as required for possible extended period of time depending on contract deadlines. Candidates must be able to obtain DBIDs or applicable base access card or CAC Candidate must be able to obtain US Government Secret Clearance and pass a pre-employment drug screening. Desired: • NDT Level II Certification (Visual) • Welding/Fabrication experience • Experience with CG-47 5XXX weld process • Process Control Procedure (PCP) development in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Item • Fiber Optic connector Builder Certification • Multi-pin Connector Builder Certification • Basic Paint Inspector Certification • ISO Lead Auditor • Knowledge of 29 CFR and 40 CFR. In depth knowledge of electrical/electronic systems.

DepartmentSerco’s C5ISR business unit supports all branches of the U.S. military as they look to extend the life of critical legacy weapons systems and sensors, while seamlessly integrating these systems with the latest C5I environments. We support major transformation initiatives to deliver total situational awareness from the command center to the warfighter on the front line. We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems.
