Job Description Serco provides comprehensive support for mission-critical communications and IT systems used by military, intelligence and civilian government clients. We are fully capable of providing C4ISR installation services onboard all classes of US Navy ships (Carriers, Surface Ships and Submarines) as well as at shore facilities. Our services also support SPAWAR, NAVSEA, NAVAIR, and NAVFAC throughout the entire C4ISR systems lifecycle – from design and development, through system accreditation, installation and sustainment, to technical refresh.

The Engineer II is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Requires a Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Occasional overtime may be required.

Required Skills -Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Eight years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelors degree. -Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and U.S. Passport. -Knowledgeable of NAVSEA Tech Spec 9090-600 and SPAWAR Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH) for development of shipboard and shore based drawings and designs. -Experience in the development of Shore Based Installation Design Plans (IDPs) IAW SPAWAR Shore Installation Process handbook (SIPH) and Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) IAW NAVSEA Technical Specification 9090-600. -Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office products including development of 2D drawings utilizing AutoCAD 2016. -Must be able to accomplish ship checks, site checks and travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations which may include shipyard or industrial environments. -Access to confined spaces, tanks, voids, masts, towers and other areas may be required. -Must be willing to travel and accomplish site checks and ship checks at both CONUS and OCONUS location. -Willing to work in Industrial Environments including Shipyards, and remote location. -Knowledge of basic electrical design theory and requirement of the General Specifications for Overhaul of Ships (GSO) is desirable. -Applicants must successfully undergo a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen -This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens -Military Veterans and Spouses encouraged to apply.

DepartmentOur services in the Defense business unit support all branches of the U.S. military and the intelligence community. Our teams provide a variety of support services related to the maintenance and life cycle sustainment of US Navy, US Coast Guard and Customs and Border Patrol fielded C5I systems. We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems. We also provide personnel services to military personnel, military families, and civilians working for the military. Our capabilities address a wide range of managed services, as well as the complete military lifecycle which includes recruitment, to active duty through retirement. And for the Intel community we have over 300 cleared professionals who serve a variety of Intelligence Community and Department of Defense customers who stand on the front lines of defense for our nation. The unit employee’s specialists focused on acquisition and program management, systems engineering, cyber security, signals and intelligence analysis, financial management, human capital, and information technology.
