Logistics Control Clerk II - Kitsap / Bremerton, WA

Job Description Record and maintain control of all inventory items purchased and produced. Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others although this is not a primary job function. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Logistics Control Clerk II will support HAZMAT locker assessments at Naval Base Kitsap Bremerton and surrounding Navy installations across the Bremerton, Washington. HAZMAT locker assessments will include validating locker conditions, material compatibility, and compliance with Navy HAZMAT database information. Visit customer locations to assess Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) locker compliance, and process results via an online portal. Collected information will be consolidated for final reporting to project leadership.
Required Skills Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable adjudicated background investigation. High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of related experience. Ability to use MS Office products. Technical training/experience in Navy Supply procedures and IT systems used in HM management processes including the following: HM Inventory Management, Stock identification and inventory processes IT systems for HM; Navy-ERP, HMIRS and/or FedLog, HM Minimization Center Operations. Some Knowledge of logistics/Navy HAZMAT management methodologies. Experience with data collection/data validation efforts. Ability to train and assist personnel regarding HM management procedures. Ability to travel within the Naval Base Kitsap Bremerton area, as necessary. This position supports a U.S. Government contract whose terms require that applicants possess U.S. Citizenship.
