Installation Specialist

Bremerton, WA, US
Job Description Manages a team of installers who are responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing structures and major components. Responsible for scheduling and over seeing the installation of products. Ensures adherence to contract specifications and established policies and procedures. Requires vocational training and at least 12 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Lead s and directs the work of others.

Working conditions: Work is performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations in an area that is somewhat uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, temperature variation and the like and with equipment where carelessness may result in minor cuts, bruises, muscle strains, serious injury, or death. The employee may be on their feet in a standing or walking position up to 90% of the day. This work is physically demanding and is performed in an industrial environment with trip hazards and requires good mobility

Requires Travel for up to 3-6 months at a time. Applicants must be willing to work more than 40 hours work weeks. Passport required after hiring. Must apply for and receive Security clearance of SECRET after hiring.

Desired Experience:
• Proficient in reading structural and electrical drawings.
• Understands and has worked with NAVSEA Standard Items.
• Has working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and OQE.
• Understands and has experience with Shipboard/Shore Safety processes and procedures.
• Has previous experience ordering and tracking materials for installations.
• Has installation leadership experience on a Ship, Submarine and/or Shore installation on a Government contract.
• Has a basic understanding of shipboard welding concepts and procedures. Candidate must understand the basic safety requirements, and the process for conducting hot work evolutions
• Has experience with Work Authorization Form (WAF) Submission and Tag Out Aboard U. S. Naval Vessels
• Has experience with discipline of subordinate employees.
• Understands what CDRL’s are and how CDRL requirements impact daily operations.
• Is comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, Project and Word on a daily basis.

DepartmentSerco’s C5ISR business unit supports all branches of the U.S. military as they look to extend the life of critical legacy weapons systems and sensors, while seamlessly integrating these systems with the latest C5I environments. We support major transformation initiatives to deliver total situational awareness from the command center to the warfighter on the front line. We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems.
